Featured Image Thumbnails for Thesis 185

on

Here’s a quick tip for those who are still using WordPress Thesis 1.8.5. I wanted to add featured thumbnails to the main blog’s post page but wasn’t too interested in have the same thumbnail show up on the destination page… I just wanted to spruce up the presentation of the main posts page. I figured I share the snippet in case someone wants this functionality as
it wasn’t too terribly hard to implement.

First, in order to add the support to Thesis you need to add a new function to your custom_functions file…

function post_page_thumbs() {

	if (get_option("page_for_posts") && (!(is_single()) && has_post_thumbnail())) { ?>
		<div class="posts_page_thumbs"><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>" title="<?php the_title(); ?>">
                <?php the_post_thumbnail(array(100, 100)) ?>
                </a></div>
	        <?php
        }
}

add_action('thesis_hook_before_post', 'post_page_thumbs');
