Other than quality inbound links and site structure, a page's title is probably the most important factor on a web page. Though there are many other matters that play a vital role in a web page's ranking performance, the title is the single most noticeable point of entry to your web site for the person searching the internet. Page titles are a key element to optimization, but high placement ranking does not end with that. Quite honestly ... it's hardly the beginning.

Linking, is a very important factor regarding high search engine rankings, because the search engines determine the status of a web site from the architecture and structure of internal, outbound, and inbound links, also know as back links. When the search engine Google, calculates the PageRank of a web site, it takes in to consideration the quality and the quantity of links that point to that site. If the inbound links that are coming to your site do not have a strong page rank, then the value of the link may not be of any benefit.
